It took place on 19 February at Chiang Mai University from 1 pm to 3 pm and was attended by around thirty researchers and students. The discussion began with specific case studies from northern Thailand involving Karen and Hmong (forest) indigenous communities and the Lisu, historical examples from India (Chipko) and Kenya (Green Belt Movement), and broader issues relating to ecofeminism and environmental care.
